Readymade was founded by designer Yuta Hosokawa out of Japan in 2013. The brand's theme is to promote world peace. By upcycling military materials, Hosokawa thought turning items used for violence and death into items for pleasure would convey his wish for an end to all war.
The label is known for upcycling and reworking vintage military gear to give it a modern touch. The brand is inspired by iconic American cultural references and is known to use custom patchwork on many of their pieces to add a unique twist and detailing. The brand produces duffle bags, purses, pants and more and often features handwritten tags in pen by Hosokawaout.
Since its inception, ReadyMade has gained notable popularity from many celebrities including Jay-Z, Travis Scott and LeBron James. ReadyMade has partnered with many major brands and figures including Travis Scott, Takashi Murakami, JustDon, Bape, Off-White and Fear of God.
